General FAQs

Occupational Therapy is a form of allied health that works with individuals to improve and/or maintain their ability to participate in daily life and meaningful tasks despite their health condition and/or injury.

Occupational Therapy can help individuals who are experiencing difficulty with completing a task or occupation due to a physical, mental, or cognitive health condition or injury. This includes anyone needing support with their independence, safety, or capacity to participate in everyday activities.

An Occupational Therapist can work with you to:

  • Improve your independence and capacity to participate in daily life and specific tasks you might be having difficulty with.
  • Assess your needs and implement interventions such as:
    • Prescribing equipment.
    • Modifying your environment.
    • Teaching strategies to help you complete tasks in a way that works for you.
    • Supporting you to achieve your personal goals and maintain your quality of life.

Yes! Both NDIS participants and Support At Home recipients can access Occupational Therapy through their funding. We’ll work with you and your care team to make the process seamless.
